ABOUT ALLIANCE FRANÇAISE
The fundamental mission of the Alliance Française of Saudi Arabia remains promoting the French language and the cultural diversity.
Located in Riyadh, Jeddah and Al Khobar this institution is committed to deliver quality education in spacious premises equipped with new technologies.
So far, the Alliance Française of Saudi Arabia hosts more than 3000 students each year in its 3 centres, and it employs about 40 teachers, who follow trainings regularly.
Through the recruitment of trained and qualified teachers, the Alliance Française offers general French courses, a wide variety of workshops (speaking workshop, grammar workshop, writing workshop, and so on…) as well as tailor-made classes formulas... The Alliance Française welcomes students from various nationalities including around 70% of Saudis.
The goal of the Alliance Française is also to develop courses for companies as well as a greater partnership with Saudi universities and institutions, and thus, attract a larger audience of Saudis.
Because French language remains its main activity, Alliance Française of Saudi Arabia gives priority to developing innovative and attractive methods of teaching, by setting training programs and providing modern educational materials.
Indeed, the Alliance Française offers educational multimedia resources related to French language: a library in which members can consult or borrow media, a multimedia space offering Internet access and spacious classrooms.
The Alliance Française is also the unique exam centre for French language in Saudi Arabia certified by the International Centre for educational studies, approved by French ministries of National Education and Higher Education, for internationally recognized diplomas and certifications (DELF, DALF / TCF and TEF).
The Alliance Française has been spreading French language and Francophone culture for more than a century. A private higher education establishment and recognized training body, the Alliance Française is, above all, a not-for-profit organisation. It has built its actions and reputation on the quality of its teaching and training programmes, in a multicultural environment which promotes exchanges, respect and conviviality.
THE ALLIANCE FRANÇAISE AROUND THE WORLD: THE CULTURAL ALTERNATIVE
The Alliance Française was created in 1883 in Paris under the aegis of Paul Cambon and Pierre Foncin, around personalities such as Jules Verne, Louis Pasteur, Ferdinand de Lesseps, Armand Colin and Ernest Renan.
